Inspiration: Venus Fly Trap
The idea for this design first originated from me wanting to make a footwear that would be worn by stepping on the sole, just like a bear trap. And then I thought of the venus fly trap plant which is natures bear trap. I wanted to come up with a design that had the alien-y look that the venus fly trap has. This product allows you to keep using your broken flip flops that still have a usable sole. The idea is that the user can get rid of the old broken strap and attach these pieces to the side of the sole. The pieces can be 3D printed easily and the nails make sure the pieces are easily attachable and detachable. The magnets enable the user to open and close the venus trap. The pieces can be printed in different colorways which makes the design customizable. The design of the pieces mimicing the venus fly trap will make your unwearable flip flop sole stand out and be wearable again.
