Inspiration: Peacock Spider, Wine OpenerA chair inspired from the “Peacock Spider”. The idea of making a chair like this came while watching an instagram video about a spider called the peacock spider. Their mating signal is to show their bodies like peacocks do, by popping it up. This sparked up an idea of making a chair inspired by the movement of the spiders’ mating ritual. The mechanism of the chair is inspired by a bottle opener. Made several prototypes and versions until resulting on this final design. The idea is that its a side table when the seat is up and when somebody sits on it, it becomes a chair by the backrest and arm legs popping up.
